Flights

We all have our favourite search engines when looking for flights, but if you have not used this one I suggest you try it as well.

I have found this very useful in finding both single and return flights.  It is especially useful if you are flexible on airports for outbound and inbound flights - i.e. you don't have to leave your car at a particular place but can travel independently to and from the airport.  I often have a friend who can take or collect me from airports.  For example if you live in the Midlands in the UK you could fly in and out of Birmingham, Luton, East Midlands, Manchester and at a push Bristol! By searching for flights from the UK to Cyprus you will get a lot of options - and the same for the return flight, search Cyprus to the UK.  Larnaca airport is about an extra hours driving to Villa Calypso over Paphos airport but you may get a substantial saving.

Car Hire

There are many car hire companies for you to test, as a general rule it is cheaper to have your car hire sorted before arrival and also a lot quicker as you could be in a lengthy queue waiting to be served.

I use a local company "Elephant Rent a Car" and have always found them to be competitively priced, everything included and no hidden extras.  They will meet you at the airport when you land and as long as you have your driving licence the paperwork is quickly and competently sorted.

You can email them at info@elephantrentacar.com and if you quote "Villa Calypso" you will find them more than helpful.

If you do fly into Larnaca there is a modest charge for collection or return to that airport, which makes it easy to fly into one airport and then out of another.
